I would ask a more experianced stylist for help. A client is going to respect that a whole lot more than you just wingin it!!!
Now when I get one that I just cant seem to please, I spin her around and ask everyone else what they think. Sometimes another stylist will throw an idea out there and boom, it meets my clients needs, I do her up, she's smiling and we played off of each other as a team. So number two is TEAMWORK
Number three. Watch the ego, sometimes when it comes to confidence there are those who cross over into "egomaniacs" ones who feel that their 1992 degree has taken them this far, and there's nothing more for them to learn.
Well, I've been doing this for 17 years and I really can't predict the future, But even if everybody is cutting hair with butter knives, you bet your ass i'm going to learn how!!!

Confidence is a huge thing. How would you feel if you have someone do something for you and they look as if they don't trust what they're even doing. If you show strong confidence that your work is the sh*t, then others will see that and will come. And they will be sure to tell their friends that you know how to take care of them.
And the importance of not becoming an overbearing, pompous behind will help with keeping harmony in the shop.
Good Post!
