Question TOW: How do you currently stay in contact with your clients? - 02-11-2008, 10:42 AM

The topic of the week deals with staying in contact with your clients. How do you stay in contact with your current clients.

This is an important topic for BAS because we are currently working on a new module for that purpose for ALL of the members on this site and many others. Do you have a phone list, does your salon keep them on a computer at the salon/barbershop, do you have an online list, do you even have a list.

If you don't have a list, would you like to have a way to stay in contact with them with discounts, announcements, and if you were to move?

Please leave all answers and remember, we will be having a module very, very soon dealing with this.

Default contacting clients - 02-13-2008, 11:14 AM

What I do is I keep a contact pad. I keep all their addresses, phone numbers, and e-mail addresses. I send them thank you cards and put discounted prices for slow days like tuesday and wednesday. Try this and it should keep your clients satisfied and makes them feel like they're v.i.p.

Default Customer Contact - 02-13-2008, 08:03 PM

In the past I mailed flyers, birthday and discount cards. Now I stay in contact with my customers through e-mail. I also keep in contact with customer through my website. I encourage my customer to visit my website to see what specials or discount I may be offering. Having a website has also attracted new customers.
If you don’t have a website to advertise yourself or your salon Microsoft offers a free website at http://www.officelive.com/default.aspx

Default client database - 02-14-2008, 01:01 AM

I currently use a salon software package. I have a demo version that I downloaded from the web but I am considering purchasing the full blown version. I send out coupons for birthdays and Christmas cards. I also keep track of when clients received a chemical service and I record color formulas.

Default Keeping In Touch - 03-04-2008, 08:35 PM

I currently keep in touch with my clients through email and telephone communication. I use my cell for my phone book so it's with me all the time and I keep all phone numbers, addresses and email addresses on my computer. I also advertise my current deals and specials on my website www.hairportfolios.com/stephaniespinner.html My clients can also book their appointments with me online with my webcalendar application which they really like because it allows them to see my openings and schedule accordingly.

I've been using this online contact management site. I get every client's email address, and load it in. Most everybody got email, whether they check it or not has always been a problem. I motivate them to check it because I send out coupons that way. You'll be surprised who's going to check their email for 5 - 10% off. Works for me check it out.

Respectfully yours,
M-Boogie
