I started cutting when I was in the 7th grade whatever age that is...lol. I know some that start later, but my uncle was a barber, granddad (I was given his original hand clippers that I use as my avatar), so I naturally fell into it. When did you start?

I started at age 14. I went to the barbershop and he pushed my tape waaayyyyy back. It was horrible!!! My friends were cracking on me all week in school. So I decided to purchase my own pair of clippers, I say might as well mess my self up instead of paying someone else to do so. I Started cutting my own hair, then my friends and the rest is history.

So to all you barbers just starting out, don't get discouraged. PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT. If you really want to master clipper cutting, you eventually will.

AWWWman you got me thinking back, I didn't start getting paid for doing hair until I was 12, but I had be hooking my Doll babies up, with Cuts and color since I was 5. I stayed on punishment and getting spanking for messing in the food coloring and Kool aid...lol

I started cuttin' at age 11. I wasn't all that excited about letting my mom cut my hair down w/o giving me a line anymore. From there I started cuttin my friends, went to cosmetology school 8 years later and the rest is history.

I started whaen I was about 15 after this kid my age cut my hair I thought if he can do it I can too I used to mess my self up lol but I eventually got it down pack

I think that a lot of people around that age began to learn and love cutting hair then.

about 14, Highschool hit and the head needed to be right on the regular, even tho it was just a baldhead....started leaving some on, then shaping up and the rest is history.
