Job search

I'm not trying to post my add here. I've been trying to find a job, but I'm having no luck. For about 6 months already I cannot find anyone who can hire me starting as an assistant. I have searched all areas. Went online a applied. Applied in person, by phone..... but seems like I can't get anywhere. I really want to do this but I can't seem to find anything. Last place I interviewed I was denied because they wanted me to cut my hair short and give me one of those emo haircuts (I didn't name it ok, someone else did).

So I don't know what I'm doing wrong but if anyone can give me advice I would really appreciate it.
