I was wondering the same thing, kid! But I found that keeping a fresh clean pair of Peanuts in your bag does the thing... Do your "rough edging" with the Peanuts, and then follow up with the straight razor. You ain't gotta use the straight razor, but it keeps a lineup sharp longer; plus it's good for the corners and fine detail work.  Holla @ ya boi!!
